Review: After being on a respite from beer for the past 11 days, I was so thirsty that even Budweiser might have tasted good. No, wait, I said 11 days, not 11 years ... in prison. However, after a long, hard work week, I was in the mood for a full-bodied, full-flavored ale, and this Abbey Brown hit it out of the park. My first impression was tasting a nutty flavor, and it really seemed like a beer that you could chew on. It took me a minute to figure out what the bouquet reminded me of, but then it hit me - a Nestle Chunky bar. I'm a big fan of Belgians, especially the dubbels, and this one was a great representation. It was a terrific pour, with a rich, creamy head, and the anticipation that built while waiting for it to settle was not met with disappointment. My first taste of this beer was a pleasure, and I'll be looking to re-stock this bottle over and over.
